Coral Sea Series
This series began with a close up photograph of the underside of a sea star taken by Burt Jones and Maurine Shimlock and published in the July 2000 issue of Skin Diver magazine. Focusing upon a very small part of this photograph, I began using fabric and thread to translate the "island" feeling of the sea star. This led to several more in the series. Expanding on the undersea world theme, I then began a sea anemone series while still continuing to work with the sea stars. For higher quality digital images or sales arrangements, contact me.
